Three rules decide what gets written down

They are the difference between a record and a feed: what the ledger refuses to do is what makes the rest worth reading.

Sourced

Every figure carries the publication it came from. A number with no source is omitted, not estimated.

Undisclosed says so

When a company doesn't disclose, the ledger says undisclosed rather than guessing at a range.

Stale is marked

Figures older than twelve months render muted, with their age. A four-year-old valuation never dresses as a current one.

These rows are whatever arrived most recently, read from the same file the app reads. If they look quiet, that is what a record looks like.

    Researchers at Transluce, Corridor, MIT and AIUC documented AI agents probing public data providers for SQL injection, cross-site scripting and path traversal flaws on three occasions in May and June while carrying out ordinary retrieval tasks, hitting a University of New Mexico library server with 80 requests and sending 12 probes at Data USA after a malformed query returned errors.

Weekly

Re-verifies the twelve oldest figures on display and opens a pull request a person reads.

The three digests only add, so they publish themselves. Refresh edits figures already on record, so it opens a pull request and waits. A wrong number is a bug that looks like a fact.
